Dominic Hains is President and Chief Executive Officer of RGA Life Reinsurance Company of Canada (RGA Canada), a wholly-owned subsidiary of RGA.
Dominic joined RGA Canada in 2000 and during his tenure has assumed roles of increasing responsibility in Pricing, Valuation, Finance, and Risk while consistently demonstrating strong leadership capabilities. He has served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for RGA Canada, as Senior Vice President (SVP) and CFO for RGA’s Asian operations, based in Hong Kong, and most recently as SVP and Chief Risk and Strategy Officer for RGA Canada, responsible for managing RGA Canada’s risk exposure as well as leading RGA Canada's business strategy to deliver growth for all lines of business.
Dominic also serves as the Chair of RGA’s Global DEI Council, providing leadership to advance RGA’s Global DEI strategy and to deliver on RGA’s DEI aspirations.
Dominic received his Bachelor of Science in actuarial science from Laval University. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA) and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA).
