Simon Robinson

Simon Robinson is Vice President, Business Development, Acquisitions, EMEA, Global Financial Solutions. He is responsible for seeking out and closing acquisition opportunities throughout Europe. He has over 25 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance fields and joined RGA in February 2012.  

Prior to joining RGA, Simon worked at ABN AMRO (latterly RBS) as Head of the Insurance Solutions team, structuring solutions for the bank’s insurance clients. Before this, while at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), he gained significant experience in insurance mergers and acquisitions and was seconded to the U.K. insurance regulator. On returning from the regulator, he built a successful practice of giving regulatory advice to insurance companies. Subsequent to these roles, he worked at a leading reinsurer selling and structuring non-traditional reinsurance (both life and health and property/casualty).

He is a graduate of Durham University and a Chartered Accountant.
