RGA has pledged to achieve Scope 1 and Scope 2 net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions throughout our global operations by the end of 2026. We have measured our GHG emissions in alignment with the World Resources Institute’s Greenhouse Gas Protocol and are aligned with the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) framework.
Environmental responsibility and sustainability are at the heart of the work we do and the decisions we make to ensure RGA’s headquarters and our global offices lead with care for employees and the planet. Approximately 51% of our on-site employees work in a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) or WELL-certified building and even more operate out of spaces with additional building credentials.

Sustainability is a priority within RGA's working environments, and we have a long legacy of environmental programs and initiatives ranging from energy-efficiency and waste-reduction measures to employee green committees. Still, while we always aim to reduce our absolute emissions at our operations, we also utilize high-quality, verified carbon offsets in alignment with RGA’s values as a means to take responsibility for our carbon footprint.
