Hironori Takahashi is the Chief Executive Officer of RGA Reinsurance Company’s Japan Branch. He is responsible for leading all business operations for RGA in the Japan market. Hironori has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry and joined RGA in 2023.
Prior to joining RGA, Hironori served as Senior Managing Executive Officer and Chief Distribution Officer (CDO) with Manulife Japan. Hironori was instrumental in the transformation of the insurer’s regional sales distribution, with a specific focus on retail and wealth segment growth. Prior to his time with Manulife, he was Vice President and Chief Distribution Officer with AIG General Insurance, where he managed independent agencies and developed innovative sales tools and training to grow the business.
Hironori began his insurance industry career with AIU in 1995 and over the next decade held managerial roles in various functions including sales and distribution, and marketing of accidental and health insurance, as well as a group company.
Hironori graduated from Keio University with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce.
