Chris Falkous is Vice President, Senior Biometric Insights Actuary, Global Data and Analytics. His particular focus is on global mortality trends, and recent projects include developing data-driven insights on COVID-19, the mortality impacts of climate change, multistate modelling of mortality and morbidity incorporating expert judgement, and assessing mortality trends in extreme scenarios.
Prior to joining RGA in 2015, Chris was a senior consultant at Towers Watson, providing advice to the trustees and sponsoring employers of large defined benefit pension schemes. He was a Scheme Actuary and a member of the pensions practice’s specialist mortality group, leading the group’s work on future mortality improvements and disease-based modelling.
Chris received a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics from the University of Oxford, and Master of Science (MSc) in operations research from George Washington University. He is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (FIA) in the U.K.
